Great mold made a great cake! Finally got a chance to use this beautiful Christmas wreath mold. Cake itself is chocolate cake recipe based on Peggy Porschen’s book but with 20% less sugar and added French Fancy Chocolate Truffles for baked-in surprise. It looked quite elegant just dusted with powdered sugar, but to add some festive colors I decided to paint main elements with melted candies (red, green, yellow). It was different, colorful and I avoided using icing, which as turned out kids enjoyed better.
