Burger and Fries Cake

This one was a lot of fun to make!

8 in, 2 chocolate layers, 2 vanilla layers, chocolate/orange buttercream filling. Iced with rolled buttercream instead of rolled fondant, all burger “toppings” are rolled buttercream as well. This icing was harder to work with, but burger bun is not a wedding cake, so small imperfections in icing turned out to be natural-looking. As far as taste goes, rolled buttercream is MUCH better icing than fondant!

Fries are orange-flavored sugar cookies of course.
